How do I calculate the correct size of shrink sleeve
To calculate the correct size of shrink sleeve to suit your product, you can use the following formulas;
For round product – 3.142 x diameter (mm) / 2 = Layflat width
For rectangle product – Length (mm) + width (mm) = Layflat width
For best results, it is important to choose a sleeve that will allow minimal movement.
Standard size sleeves are stocked in increments of 5mm from 30mm to 120mm. From 130mm to 250mm the stock increases in 10mm increments.
Sleeves can be pre cut into individual sleeves or left in full rolls of 500m. Always allow 5-10mm at each end of your product to allow the sleeve to hold on.

Which Pallet Wrapper is right for me?
In order to determine which pallet wrapper is the correct one for you, you need to think about the overall cost of the machine and also how much film will be used to wrap your product. For example, brake stretch machines are very cost effective if you are only wrapping up to 15 pallets per day. The initial outlay of the machine is quite low, however it will use more film to wrap a pallet as it will only stretch up to 100%. If you are wrapping more than 15 pallets per day then it would be worthwhile considering a powered pre stretch machine as it will save you money on film over the life of the machine.
Other factors also need to be considered such as type of product being wrapped, weight and height of product and where and how the product is to be shipped.
